In line at a grocery store trying to buy some food and then a magazine rack screams at me 'Summer fashion tips for women, 20 ways to please your man, faster, better, truer tans, bikini season is coming around, time to shed those hideous pounds...' And all I really want to do is smash, but I can just walk away when asked, "How are you paying for that?" Yup. Try to feel good about yourself? Impossible when every shelf tells you that your body is never good enough. But if you lose 10lbs this week and try this wacky sex technique, maybe you'll have a chance! Drilled into your head every fucking day: your worth is based on how much you weigh. Eating disorders will be all too common. The real fashion tip for women: eat less, fuck more. And I don't know if you can escape this crushing weight of disappointment, but I hope you can shake this fear of never being perfect. Fuck.

It's not up for debate: I could no longer tolerate the thought of killing just for the taste. When I finally saw the suffering and pain, couldn't handle it being done in my name. Now you want to argue about the shape of teeth! Oh, great! But how does biology justify a life spent in cages and chains? Yeow! Nowhere to run. I remember the day the idea took hold and I tried so hard to let it go. What do we owe, what do we deserve? There's more to life than to dominate and serve. Now you tell me it can be humanely done. Just another life spent staring down the barrel of a fucking gun. Not in my name.

The Betrayal 02:12
There were whispers. How could they dare? A smear campaign against someone we hold so dear. To patterns of abuse we've shrugged. Painful echoes but it could never happen here. A generation taught to raise their fists. We know the right words but we don't live like it. A masquerade so complete. Picture of progress built on lies and deceit. Can someone please explain to me how many times we can betray our values before we're complicit in the charade? The words we say, meaning falls away. One more dead note among the cacophony of rage. A generation taught to raise their fists. We know the rights words but we don't live like it. A masquerade so complete. Picture of progress built on lies and deceit.

I know it can be hard to take a fucking stand when the person talking shit is your family or your friend, but I don't want you to think that things are going to be ok if when someone is spewing hatred you just look the other way. Don't just stand there, say something. Don't just stand there, do something. If we all just got along, yes that would be best, but surely you know that silence equals death. It's gonna be a bittersweet I-fucking-told-you-so when your precious scene is overrun with sexists, racists, homophobes... Don't just stand there, say something. Don't just stand there, do something. Y'arrrrgh.

Potbelly 01:56
I do my best to stay hopeful but a truth remains: I fear it will always be the same. Yes I know people can change, but my faith quickly slips away. Like when I saw the headline that said 'Man adopts pet pig, decides to eat her instead'. An inner darkness wants you to feel the dread. Breach of trust. An untimely end. Suffer. I know it's just a symptom of a system that is sick. Suffer. Something a heart full of hate is never gonna fix. Suffer. I know it's just a symptom of a system built on shit. Suffer. But it fills me with rage to see what makes these monsters tick. Partially because I'm afraid it's me. Because, dear John, I would not lose any sleep if they found you bleeding out in the snow. Oh, how we laughed! Oh, how we posed! All calculated acts as I draw a trusting life into my final trap. But I know it wouldn't change a thing. It's just my anger talking. It's just my anger talking.

Too Punk 02:08
Hey everybody, have you heard the news? This just in, I got no time for you. You can find me out back, I'll be sniffing glue. Trashing my hotel room, ripped on 'ludes. Off to the side and all out of sorts as I try to fashion patches into a pair of shorts. I'm too punk! Too punk for you! Gather around, let me read you a list of which bands from '77 were most legit. Yes, I listen to Skrewdriver - but only their first! Don't know what you're into, but it's surely the worst. I can tell by the patches on your pants that you never really had a chance. P.C. kids think they know what's best. Worried about the swastika tattoo on my chest. I'm too punk! Too punk for you!

You say "Punx always win!" But you've lost all my respect. Easy to feel so proud when you don't feel the effects. You shout "Kill a cop!" Unless you want to protect a rapist. Innocent until proven guilty, the stories of women don't mean shit. Oh, you're so subversive! Culture of violence. Macho attitudes keeping survivors silence. Congratulations! Fuck your community. Congratulations! Fuck your scene. You win, you win, you win, you win, you win, you win, you win, you win. Fuck you.

And the only thing still shocking to me is that you're somehow entertained after all these years of singing the same sad, tired refrains. Pick another easy target and give it your best. Watch these losers squirm. Your humour they'll just never fucking get. Tell me another one. Use the broadest of strokes. Don't forget to wear a mask so that I know that it's all jokes. And the only reason I'm not flipping this table is because I still respect the venue.

A sinking feeling. A horror you never thought you'd touch. The water is rising but you can't swim fast enough. Our true love: democracy. But we don't want to hear you talk. Our god is progress and you've delayed us long enough. We need another sacrifice, but you know we're never satisfied. We've played nice for long enough, but now our god is thirsty and your time is up. What is it that you just can't seem to understand? We're taking your water and destroying your land, and when your kids choose suicide we'll let out a half-hearted sigh -- what could we have done to help speed up their demise? I swear that I could hear a laugh coming from the back of the newsroom or perhaps from the spectres of our past. Our founding fathers, in their graves they turn, wishing they just struck a match and watched the fucking thing burn.

How It Ends 02:41
You say you're ready to bleed for your country. A war only you see. Oh great defender of our freedoms of speech. Erodes with disagreement, race, sex, ethnicity... There is no reason for us to give you a platform of trust. Oh great defender of the great 'white' north -- fantasy of a master race, a history you contort. There is no need to speak. It's time to move along. We've let this horror haunt us for far too long. There is no need to speak. There is no need to pretend: we know just how it ends. How it ends. How can such small hands hold so much hate? Good night, white pride.
