This is the outcome of a number of events. First, I turned 30 (or was it 31?) and I thought, "I've been a punk for a while now and that means I have a lot to teach and judge the younger punks about." (That is a joke, of course.)
Second, punk fans can be awfully elitist for a genre of music and scene that has ridiculous origins in terms of manufactured rock bands, using the swastika as a fashion accessory, and sniffing glue. It is something I both love and hate -- the punk scene, not sniffing glue. (I am straight edge!)
Third, I was becoming annoyed with the number of punks I was encountering who believe that punk is just about being offensive for the sake of being offensive. Punch up, my friend Maddy says. I suppose I'm not punching up as much as I am flailing wildly and making fun of myself, but that will have to do. (Kyle)

1, 2, 3, 4! Hey everybody, have you heard the news? This just in: got no time for you. You can find me out back, I'll be sniffing glue. Trashing my hotel room, ripped on ludes. Off to the side and all out of sorts, trying to fashion patches into a pair of shorts.
I'm too punk for you.
Gather around, let me read you a list of which bands from '77 were most legit. Yes, I listen to Skrewdriver -- but only their first! Not sure what you're into, but it's surely the worst. I can tell by the patches on your pants, you never really had a chance. PC kids think they know what's best. Worried about the swastika tattoo on my chest.
